  1. ABOUT US

This website is operated by:

Beyond the Time LTD
Company number: 13479848
VAT number: GB436967155
Registered office: 85 Great Portland Street, London, Greater London, England, W1W 7LT
Email: beyondthetimeltd@gmail.com

In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Beyond the Time LTD. “You” and “your” refer to the person purchasing or using our website.

Please read these Terms before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the version of these Terms in force at that time.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

  1. OUR PRODUCTS

We sell pre-owned watches, watch parts, accessories and related items.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, items are pre-owned and may show signs of age, previous use, wear, servicing, polishing or refinishing. Any significant condition details known to us will be described or shown in the product listing.

Product photographs will normally show the actual item being offered unless stated otherwise. Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on lighting and screen settings.

Measurements, production dates and technical information are provided as accurately as reasonably possible. Certain information may be approximate, particularly for vintage or pre-owned items.

  1. AUTHENTICITY AND BRAND AFFILIATION

Items described as “genuine” are sold as authentic products or components of the identified manufacturer.

Any aftermarket, third-party, modified or replacement component known to us will be identified in the product description where reasonably possible.

Beyond the Time LTD is an independent reseller. We are not an authorised dealer, representative or affiliate of Rolex, Cartier, Omega or any other watch manufacturer unless expressly stated.

Manufacturer names and trademarks are used only to identify and describe the products offered for sale.

  1. PRE-OWNED WATCHES

The condition, accessories and scope of delivery for each watch will be stated in its individual listing. This may include:

• Watch only;
• Watch and box;
• Watch and papers;
• Full set;
• Other accessories specifically listed.

Only items expressly mentioned in the listing are included.

The accuracy and power reserve of a mechanical watch may vary according to its age, condition, movement and usage. A specific level of timekeeping performance is guaranteed only where expressly stated in the product description.

Water resistance is not guaranteed unless the listing expressly confirms that the watch has recently passed an appropriate pressure test. Vintage watches should not be exposed to water unless professionally tested immediately before use.

Service history is guaranteed only where supported by documentation or expressly confirmed by us.

  1. WATCH PARTS AND COMPATIBILITY

Watch parts may be new, pre-owned, genuine, aftermarket or modified, as stated in the relevant listing.

Reference numbers, measurements and compatibility information should be checked carefully before purchase and before installation.

Customers should provide the complete watch reference, case reference, movement calibre and any other relevant information when requesting compatibility assistance.

Any compatibility guidance we provide will be based on the information supplied to us and the information reasonably available. Parts should always be inspected and installed by a suitably qualified watchmaker.

A part must not be forced, altered or installed if its compatibility is uncertain.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where an item is faulty, not as described or where we have incorrectly confirmed compatibility based on accurate information supplied by you.

  1. PLACING AN ORDER

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order.

Before submitting an order, you are responsible for checking:

• The selected product and quantity;
• The delivery address;
• Your contact details;
• The total price and delivery charge;
• Any compatibility or sizing information.

After placing an order, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement. This acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted.

A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the item has been dispatched, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier.

We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if:

• The item is unavailable or has already been sold;
• Payment cannot be authorised;
• The price or description contains an obvious error;
• We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity;
• We cannot deliver to the address supplied;
• Legal or regulatory restrictions prevent the transaction.

If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot accept, the amount paid will be refunded.

  1. AVAILABILITY

Many of our products are unique, pre-owned items with only one unit available.

Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it. An item remains available to other customers until the checkout process has been completed and the order accepted.

Although we make reasonable efforts to keep stock information accurate, an item may occasionally become unavailable after an order is submitted. If this happens, we will contact you and issue a refund.

  1. PRICES AND VAT

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Delivery charges are shown separately before the order is submitted.

Eligible pre-owned items may be sold under the VAT Margin Scheme for second-hand goods. Where the scheme applies:

• VAT is accounted for on our profit margin;
• VAT is included within the displayed price;
• VAT cannot be shown separately or reclaimed by the buyer;
• The sales invoice will state “Margin Scheme – Second-hand Goods”.

Other products may be sold under normal VAT arrangements where applicable.

We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct. If an obvious pricing error is identified before dispatch, we may cancel the order and refund any payment or contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

  1. PAYMENT

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout.

Payment may be processed by Wix Payments or another payment provider shown at checkout. Payment providers may carry out security, identity and fraud-prevention checks.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method selected.

We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code.

  1. DELIVERY

We currently deliver to eligible addresses within the United Kingdom unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Available delivery methods, charges and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout.

Orders will normally be sent using a tracked service. High-value items may require a signature, proof of identity or other delivery verification.

You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not responsible for delay caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.

We aim to deliver within the estimated period shown at checkout and, unless otherwise agreed, no later than 30 days after the contract is formed.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly agreed that delivery by a particular date is essential.

Risk in the item passes to you when it is delivered into your physical possession or to a person identified by you to receive it. Ownership passes after we have received full payment.

You must inspect the package promptly and notify us if it appears damaged, opened or tampered with.

  1. CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS

Consumers purchasing online normally have the right to cancel within 14 days after receiving their order without giving a reason.

After notifying us of cancellation, the item must be returned within a further 14 days.

Detailed instructions concerning watches, fitted parts, return postage, deductions for loss of value and faulty goods are contained in our Return and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

To request a return, contact beyondthetimeltd@gmail.com before sending the item.

You should not return goods to our registered office without receiving return instructions.

Nothing in our Returns Policy or these Terms limits your statutory rights.

  1. FAULTY OR MISDESCRIBED GOODS

All goods must be as described, fit for any purpose expressly agreed with us and of satisfactory quality, taking account of their age, price, description and pre-owned condition.

Normal pre-owned wear and specific imperfections clearly disclosed before purchase are not faults merely because the item is pre-owned.

If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival, not authentic where described as genuine, or materially different from its description, contact us promptly.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may be entitled to reject the item, request a repair or replacement, or receive a full or partial refund.

Damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, improper storage, unauthorised repair, magnetism, impact, water exposure contrary to the listing, or incorrect installation is not an inherent fault.

  1. WARRANTIES

Any additional commercial warranty will be stated in the product listing or provided separately in writing.

Unless expressly stated, pre-owned products are not supplied with an active manufacturer’s warranty.

The absence or expiry of a commercial or manufacturer’s warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

  1. SECURITY AND FRAUD PREVENTION

For high-value transactions, we may request reasonable identity, address or payment verification before dispatch.

We may delay or cancel an order where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected fraud, stolen payment details, sanctions concerns or other unlawful activity.

We will handle verification information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  1. SELL YOUR WATCH

Any initial valuation provided through our “Sell Your Watch” service is indicative and non-binding.

A final offer may be made only after we have physically inspected and verified the watch, its condition, authenticity, reference, serial number, accessories and ownership history.

By offering an item to us, you confirm that:

• You are its legal owner and entitled to sell it;
• It is not stolen, counterfeit or subject to finance, security or third-party ownership;
• The information you provide is accurate and complete;
• You have disclosed known defects, modifications and replacement parts.

We may request proof of identity, address, ownership or purchase and may conduct appropriate security and authenticity checks.

We may revise or withdraw an indicative offer following inspection. You are not obliged to accept a revised offer.

Any purchase by us will be governed by the written offer and sale arrangements agreed with the seller.

  1. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNT CODES

Promotions and discount codes are subject to any additional conditions stated when they are issued.

Unless stated otherwise, promotional codes:

• Cannot be exchanged for cash;
• Cannot be used after expiry;
• Cannot be combined with another offer;
• May be limited to selected products or customers.

We may withdraw or correct a promotion affected by an obvious error, fraud or misuse.

  1. CUSTOMER ACCOUNTS

You are responsible for keeping your account login details confidential and for activity conducted through your account.

You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect the customer, our website or other users.

  1. WEBSITE USE

You must not:

• Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another user’s account;
• Introduce malware or interfere with website operation;
• Copy, scrape or commercially exploit website content without permission;
• Submit false, abusive, defamatory or misleading material.

We may restrict access where these requirements are breached.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The website design, text, graphics, photographs, logos and other original content owned by Beyond the Time LTD are protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may view and print website content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce or commercially use our content without prior written permission.

Third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

  1. PRIVACY AND COOKIES

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our website uses essential cookies and may use optional analytics, functionality or marketing cookies subject to your preferences. Further information is available through our cookie notice and cookie settings.

  1. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONSUMERS

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

If you purchase as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses, including loss of profits, revenue, opportunity or business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• Breach of statutory consumer rights;
• Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  1. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, system failures, governmental action or disruption to postal and courier services.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect of the event and will contact you where it materially affects your order.

Your statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

  1. BUSINESS CUSTOMERS

If you purchase wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes, you are not treated as a consumer for the purposes of statutory consumer cancellation rights.

Any additional or different terms agreed in writing for a business transaction will take priority over these Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.

  1. COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint, please contact:

beyondthetimeltd@gmail.com

Please include your name, order number and a clear description of the issue. We will aim to acknowledge and resolve complaints within a reasonable period.

  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.

The Terms applying to your purchase will be those available when your order was placed. Changes will not retrospectively alter an existing contract unless required by law or agreed with you.

  1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.

No person other than you and Beyond the Time LTD has the right to enforce the contract, except where the law provides otherwise.

  1. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and any contract between us are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections available under the law of your place of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
